His journey began with the successful completion of his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, in 1987. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to enhancing the well-being of his patients.

In 1991, Dr. Toomey embarked on his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. This transformative experience equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care to his patients. Dr. Toomey's passion for chiropractic care has since led him to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. This certification is a testament to his dedication to excellence in the field. Notably, he possesses a unique understanding of the physical and emotional needs of athletes.

This understanding arises from his background as a former collegiate soccer player and his continued participation in a wide range of triathlons, running events, and adventure races.

In addition to his sports-centric expertise, Dr. Toomey has also acquired a fellowship in the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This specialized training enables him to focus on the treatment of infants, children, and expectant mothers. This ensures that even the youngest and most vulnerable patients receive the highest level of care.
